Melissa & Beau got married at The Farm at Big Horse Creek and let me tell you, it was BEAUTIFUL!!!! As a wedding photographer in a big city like Charlotte, I see so many venues! I got so excited because this venue is new, BRAND new and these two were lucky enough to be the first couple to tie the knot there! That’s pretty special if you ask me.  So many other brides and grooms are going to walk down that isle, dance in the barn, and say their “I Do’s” at the Alter, but not one other person will get to say that they were the first.  There couldn’t have been a better couple to christen the new venue. Melissa and Beau’s love is SHINES!  It’s Real, it’s silly, it’s fun, it’s MAGICAL!!

They both have the most amazing families.  The closeness and love that they share is envious.  I could so deeply see this when Melissa saw her daddy for the first time during the daddy/daughter first look.  I could tell that he and his baby girl have such a special bond.  He cried, she cried, I cried, and I’m sure Cory won’t admit it but I saw him shed a tear! Their daddy/daughter dance was also so incredibly special, they had the entire reception in tears.  Just thinking about it gives me all the feels!!

Everyone there was just FUN! Yes they planned the perfect wedding, but you could tell that they really saw the bigger picture.  They are one of those couples that just remind you to live your life with joy.  If life hands you a piece of cake, smash it in your hubby’s face… and that’s just what they did!! Their cake smash was awesome!!
