I can’t EVEN with these two! Ryan’s family farm is just outside of Mooresville, NC in Mt. Ulla and ya’ll it’s amazing! When Nora first contacted me about shooting her wedding, she told me about their farm. It’s been in their family for over 100 years and Nora and Ryan will be so lucky to lay their roots and start a family on the farm. She told me how she’s dreamt of photos in the corn fields and how there was a sunflower field nearby. She had me at family farm!
We decided to have our initial consultation on their farm and it was totally different from my normal meet-at-a-coffee-shop consultation. We hopped right in their car and toured the property. My jaw was hitting the floor the entire time. I pretty much did cartwheels when they decided to book their wedding with me!
We met at the dairy barn and started in a large field where we could get a few photos with their adorable pups. We then headed to the corn fields. Ryans first love is Cheerwine so we obviously had to take photos on their Cheerwine bench. Ryan got excited when he got to explain to me how the corn grows. It’s really a crazy crop and it’s so cool how it grows! I wont try to explain it to you, but google it, it’s awesome!
They were making fun of me because I was semi-freaking out about bugs constantly. I am that girl who showed up to a photo session on a farm with my rainbows and shorts. Then when we went into a row of corn and Ryan told me there was a snake behind me, I knew he and Cory would get along great. They could probably spend an entire day messing with me, because I’m pretty sure that’s Cory’s sole priority in life.
We then headed to the sunflower fields. Sunflowers are Nora’s FAVORITE flower. I love how we incorporated so much of each of their personalities into their session. We lost the sun to some clouds but ya’ll, it was amazing! I am going to have to reach out to their friend to see about doing some sunflower field sessions next year! I’m obsessed!
Nora and Ryan are so sweet and love to have fun! I am so excited to be a part of the most important day of their lives! I love everything about them and their wedding is going to be AMAZING!!
