Haley is Two!

My baby girl is two years old.  She’s no longer a baby, she’s officially a toddler.  Big girl bed and all! I can’t believe these words are coming out of my mouth.  And now I’m crying.  In all honesty, I am sad that she’s growing up but I am so excited to see what the future holds for her.  Ever day Cory and I are amazed at the new things she’s learning.  She idolizes her big brother and wants to do everything Bryson does! The words that she knows and the awesome speech that she already has seriously has me in awe! At this age, Bryson’s vocabulary was nothing near what Haleys is.  I think that’s mostly because she is learning from him!

I think my favorite thing about haley is her diva-ness.  She’s a diva, a princess, and she is spoiled rotten but it is so stinking cute! This morning she wanted a Hershey’s kiss.  I told her no she has to eat breakfast first.  I walk out of the room and come back and she has a chair in the pantry, she’s standing on her tippy toes and grabbing a Hershey’s kiss.  This girl’s determination is unbelievable.  She will move mountains one day!

For that past month or two she’s been singing “3 little monkeys jumping on the bed, one fell off and bumped his head, mommy called the doctor and the doctor said, no more monkeys jumping on the bed”.  Her version actually sounded more like “bump-a-head, bump-a-head” until yesterday when she sung the song better than I could! My two favorite words that come out her mouth are “puh-ple (Purple)” and “Besh-Yoo (Bless you)”.  No lie, I pretend to sneeze about 20 times a day so I can hear that sweet little (besh-yoo).  It’s adorable.

She may be a diva but she’s the sweetest most cuddly diva you’d ever meet.  I’ve said this since the day she was born, but her smile is the best thing in the world.  It can light up anyones day. Literally, the first photo I ever took of her she was smiling! (See the iPhone photo at the bottom of this blog post).  Her laugh the deepest, purest laugh that comes straight from the belly! I love my little sweetheart.

Bryson loves her too.  “come on baby”, “I need a hug from haley”, “here you go, baby girl”, “I love haley”.  Seriously my sweet little mommas boy loves his “baby girl” more than his mommy.  He is such a nurturer and seriously loves Haley more than I’ve ever seen a brother love a sister.  It’s adorable.  Don’t get me wrong, he’ll run down the hall way and purposely knock her down, take her toys away, and argue with her daily… but overall, that’s his “baby girl”.

This post is a little late because her birthday was two weeks ago, but we finally got the chance to take pictures last week.  I will remember next time to feed my kids BEFORE I take their photos, because there were a lot of tears and fits pitched during this session, but I did get a couple of good ones!

Happy birthday baby girl!
